Our planet is teeming with activity. The explosion of satellite imagery provides a unique means to understand these processes; however, in order to make sense of this vast amount of data, we need scalable modeling solutions and massive computational power. In this talk, I will describe how we are using machine learning techniques in a scalable cloud-based environment to transform raw pixels into valuable information that is used to inform decisions.
